With our hot summers, this is a great time to start sun-drying laundry. Benefits include saving as much as 20% on your utility bill, disinfecting with sunlight, reduced risk of a home fire from dryer lint, longer lasting clothes, and a sun-dried towel even makes a good exfoliant! Start making this a habit with an air-only toss in the dryer for tops and pants to avoid wrinkles, then put these on hangers and hang from a clothesline. (No clothespins needed!) HOA forbids this, or a small or no yard? Put the hangers on a collapsible accordion dryer set on the patio or balcony.
